Kyoto University Mechanical Society
The only robot circle at Kyoto University
Activities include robot creation, electronics, and programming. Currently mainly working towards participating in NHK Student Robocon 2026.
KVT Project
KVT is an open core project aiming for social implementation of Physical AI technology.
KVT is promoting R&D for the practical application of Physical AI by combining cutting-edge VLA (Vision-Language-Action) technology with proprietary dual-arm robots.

For Starting a New Initiative
Purpose of the Application
Project application is not for evaluation or screening. It is a process to confirm available support resources and alignment with community goals so a launch can proceed smoothly.
Team Formation & Planning
Members who want to launch a project form a team and create a plan summarizing the purpose and activity plan.
Application to Management
Submit the created project plan to KUPAC management. The application is for checking the support system, not for evaluation/screening.
Confirmation & Adjustment
The management team confirms the plan and exchanges opinions on the desired support. Consultation for better activities is also welcome.
Registration & Start
Once confirmation is complete, it will be officially registered as a "KUPAC Community Project" and official activities can begin.
FAQ for Joining & Launching
Q. What kind of projects are eligible?
A. As long as it is related to Physical AI, the theme or format does not matter, such as research, development, or learning. We welcome the free ideas of members.
Q. How can I join a project?
A. First, please become a KUPAC member. Currently active projects will be introduced on the website etc., so please contact the representative of the project you are interested in directly.
Q. What is required for application?
A. A "Project Plan" describing the project overview, purpose, activity plan, member list, necessary resources, etc. is required. The format will be guided separately.
