Imitation Learning Hands-on Event Announcement

📍Event Overview

Date: Monday, September 29th, 2025, 14:00-18:00

Venue: Kyoto University Main Campus, Int'l Science Innovation Bldg 4F, Meeting Room C

Capacity: Max 6 people (Lottery if oversubscribed)

🎯Event Overview

This is a hands-on session on Imitation Learning (ACT) using the SO-100 robot arm and LeRobot library. Participants will work in groups of about 3 to experience learning by actually operating the robot.

Data Collection via Robot Arm Control

Actually operate the robot arm to collect data necessary for imitation learning

ACT Training Execution

Execute training using ACT (Action Chunking with Transformers) with the collected data

Confirmation of Learning Results

Use the trained model to check how the robot actually performs the task

⚠️Notes

  • Capacity Limit: To ensure smooth operation, we are limiting participants to a maximum of 6 people.
  • Lottery: In case of many applications, a lottery may be held.
  • Result Notification: Final participation status will be notified by email by Sunday, September 21st.
  • Format: This event will be held in-person only.
